Overnight, as the snow returned, Val d’Isère was transformed once more into an enchanted alpine dream. Rooftops lie beneath a soft white veil, gentle lights glow in the twilight, and a delicate, intoxicating scent lingers in the air — like a fleeting echo of childhood wonder.
This morning, laughter filled the village as children improvised a spontaneous snowball fight in the school courtyard. Since December 11th, La Mourra 5* has embraced the return of winter, opening a new chapter in its alpine story. In the heart of the village, the hotel and its chalets come alive once again, ready to welcome guests in search of authenticity, refinement, and truly exceptional moments.
The season begins with a surge of excitement and emotion as the 70th Critérium de la Première Neige sets the pace. The world’s finest skiers converge for a spectacular World Cup event, filling the resort with energy, adrenaline, and a shared passion for the mountains.

As a cold spell sweeps across France, winter has already taken full hold in Val d’Isère. The first snow has draped the village in a soft, silvery hush, and the gentle stillness in the air whispers of a season about to begin.
Only three weeks now lie between us and the pleasure of welcoming you back. Our teams are slowly returning, adding the final, careful touches, while our homes prepare to open their doors:
